Who are we seeking?

We are in search of a seasoned Engineering Manager to become an integral part of our Product Team, leading two of CareerPlug's cohesive, integrated, and high-performing squads. The ideal candidate will be passionate about guiding and mentoring our software engineers, who are tasked with producing clean, maintainable code in Ruby and JavaScript to develop and sustain sophisticated, evolving software products.

Our developers engage in full-stack development, creating new features from the ground up while balancing their responsibilities with bug fixes, innovation initiatives, and infrastructure enhancements. This role presents a unique opportunity to make substantial contributions to a rapidly growing product and directly shape the future trajectory of CareerPlug's software.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to coach and mentor engineers to reach their full potential.
  • Empathetic communication skills.
  • Transformational leadership capabilities to inspire and evolve our software development strategies.
  • Demonstrated success in managing an engineering team (minimum of 1 year).
  • Experience as a software engineer.
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices.
