About the Role

Burson North America is seeking an experienced Account Director to join our Direct Impact Practice. As an Account Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in delivering high-quality communications services to a globally recognized automotive client.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public relations, with a proven track record of managing complex client relationships and delivering successful campaigns. You will be responsible for coordinating asset and content creation, including press releases, editorial stories, and media responses, as well as working with the marketing team to determine the status of current assets and assets in need of development.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our client's innovative line of new automobiles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client-facing with execution and oversight of projects around stakeholder and local media relations and events campaigns
  • Coordination of asset and content creation, including press releases, editorial stories, and media responses
  • Work with Marketing team to determine status of current assets, assets in need of development, and what teams will be responsible for creation
  • Responsible for coordination of agency calls, meetings and agendas and recaps
  • Media monitoring supervision and review
  • Additional Ad hoc client and practice requests as needed
Requirements
  • 7+ years of previous public relations work experience
  • Excellent project and team management skills with a proven ability to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments and identify, secure, and employ resources needed to achieve results
  • Excellent client management skills
  • Strong technical writing skills with high attention to detail
  • Prior experience serving as a day-to-day account lead
  • Ability to manage complex client and internal relationships diplomatically and consultatively
  • Ability to think innovatively to develop creative solutions and new programs
  • Team player, ready to roll up their sleeves in a collaborative environment
  • Experience or interest in the automotive industry preferred
