We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at UNC Health Care. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in providing patient care to our adult heart and vascular patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care to inpatients at UNC Hospitals, including medication profile review, response to drug information questions, and order verification.
- Work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside our adult heart and vascular services, including cardiothoracic intensive care unit, cardiac intensive care unit, and general cardiology.
- Collaborate with other members of the Department of Pharmacy to address any needs that might arise and that require your qualifications and/or expertise.
- Participate in process improvement opportunities and precept students, residents, and new pharmacy staff as required.
- PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree from an ACPE-accredited school/college of pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtainable before initiation of employment.
- No prior experience required, but completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 residency in cardiology, critical care, internal medicine, or pharmacotherapy is preferred.
