Role Overview

Peraton is seeking a dedicated Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to be integrated within a client's Acquisition Program Management Office, providing support for multi-disciplinary Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security oversight. The selected candidate will collaborate within a security-focused team, assisting both the program manager and the program security officer. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily security operations of SAPF and SCIF, ensuring adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) and component-specific regulations.
  • Assess and formulate Program Access Requests (PAR) to guarantee compliance with nomination process protocols before submission to the appropriate authority.
  • Manage electronic personnel records utilizing the JADE application.
  • Act as a Top Secret Control Officer.
  • Serve as a Special Security Representative.
  • Maintain security documentation within a regulated SharePoint environment.
  • Conduct self-assessments and inspections of vendor and government facilities.
  • Facilitate Security Awareness, Training, and Education (SETA) initial and annual training for personnel involved in the program.
  • Verify access and manage visit requests through both JADE and DISS systems.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Education: 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; 0 years with a PhD.
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a SAP security capacity.
  • Strong proficiency with security record systems (JADE/DISS).
  • Comprehensive understanding of DOD SAP and Intelligence Community Directives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SPED certification (SFPC, SAPPC, SPIPC, SPSC).
  • Experience in managing security for sensitive testing events.

Compensation Range

The expected salary range for this position is $86,000 - $138,000, reflecting the typical compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
