Position Overview

Peraton is seeking a Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) to be integrated within a client's Acquisition Program Management Office, focusing on the oversight of multi-disciplinary Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security operations. The selected candidate will collaborate within a security team framework, providing support to both the program manager and the program security officer. This role is based in Huntsville, AL.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily security operations of SAPF and SCIF, ensuring adherence to Department of Defense (DoD) and component regulations.
  • Assess and generate Program Access Requests (PAR) to guarantee compliance with nomination process protocols before submission to the designated approval authority.
  • Manage electronic personnel records utilizing the JADE application.
  • Act as a Top Secret Control Officer.
  • Function as a Special Security Representative.
  • Maintain security documentation within a regulated SharePoint environment.
  • Conduct self-assessments and inspections of vendor and government facilities.
  • Facilitate Security Awareness, Training, and Education (SETA) initial and annual training for program personnel.
  • Validate access and manage visit requests through both JADE and DISS systems.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements
  • Education: 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; no experience required with a PhD.
  • Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a SAP security role is required.
  • Proficient in security systems of record (JADE/DISS).
  • Familiarity with DOD SAP and Intelligence Community Directives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SPED certification (SFPC, SAPPC, SPIPC, SPSC) is advantageous.
  • Experience in managing security for sensitive testing events is preferred.

Compensation Range

The typical salary range for this position is $86,000 - $138,000, reflecting the expected compensation based on experience and other relevant factors.
