**Secure our Nation, Ignite your Future**
**Job Function**: As the Contractor Program Security Officer (CPSO) Apprentice (CPSO-A), you will support the CPSO Journeyman (CPSO-J) in overseeing program security management, daily security operations, physical security standards, and personnel security tasks for the Special Access Program section. Under general supervision, you will process Program Access Requests (PAR) and other personnel security actions, manage office security, visitor control, and provide Security Education Training and Awareness. You will also maintain personnel security files for all supported personnel and assist in monitoring and updating security databases for tracking personnel security clearances and accesses.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, send, and receive visitor certifications.
- Coordinate indoctrination briefings and debriefings for Special Access Program (SAP) accesses and prepare necessary documentation.
- Interface with external agencies and customers on security-related matters as directed by the CPSO-J.
- Purge files monthly to eliminate outdated material and digitize records into a computer database.
- Assist in the preparation for security reviews and inspections, maintaining control and accountability of SAP information.
- Track, ship, and account for SAP information, including managing couriers and controlling reproduction and destruction of sensitive documents.
This position is developmental, allowing for advancement within the Program Security Officer Career Pathway.
**Education and Experience**: A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 1 to 3 years of general security experience is required.
**Physical Requirements**: Sedentary Work.
