Family Enrollment Coordinator

We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a skilled Family Enrollment Coordinator to become part of our dedicated team. Homes for the Homeless (HFH) is in search of a qualified individual to support our Families with Children program. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our Early Learning initiatives. ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS, INC.

Homes for the Homeless is committed to providing shelter and support for families facing homelessness in New York City. Our mission is to create a lasting positive impact, enabling families to flourish long after they transition from our care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee the eligibility verification process for children enrolled in Department of Education programs.
  • Assist families throughout the re-certification journey.
  • Administer a waitlist to optimize service delivery.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive family outreach strategy.
  • Ensure accurate daily attendance documentation.
  • Support classroom activities as needed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent college coursework.
  • Knowledge of HRA, ACS, and DOE regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient in maintaining essential records.
  • Capable of providing community resources and referrals.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding when working with at-risk populations.
