ABOUT HOMES FOR THE HOMELESS, INC.
Homes for the Homeless is committed to providing shelter and support for families facing homelessness in New York City. Our mission is to create a lasting positive impact, enabling families to flourish long after they transition from our care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the eligibility verification process for children enrolled in Department of Education programs.
- Assist families throughout the re-certification journey.
- Administer a waitlist to optimize service delivery.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive family outreach strategy.
- Ensure accurate daily attendance documentation.
- Support classroom activities as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate's Degree or equivalent college coursework.
- Knowledge of HRA, ACS, and DOE regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in maintaining essential records.
- Capable of providing community resources and referrals.
- Demonstrated sensitivity and understanding when working with at-risk populations.
