Sleep Study Technologist Traveler

- Mandatory: Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Certification: BLS must be obtained through the American Heart Association only.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Gathering, evaluating, and synthesizing patient data to address specific patient needs.
- Connecting data outputs from capnographs, oximeters, and respiratory inductive plethysmographs to electrophysiologic amplifiers and computerized recording systems.
- Collaborating with the ordering physician or clinical director to finalize testing parameters and procedures in accordance with laboratory protocols.
- Candidates must have a permanent residence outside a 50-mile radius of Madison.
- Experience in a clinical environment is essential.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a sleep laboratory is required.
- Completion of a previous traveler assignment lasting 13 weeks is necessary.
Only candidates who can accommodate the schedule outlined in the posting and have an interest in the unit should be considered.
Unit Specific Information- Travelers will be prioritized for floating to units working with children up to one year of age, based on their competencies and experience.
- Shifts may be assigned across multiple units, depending on staffing requirements and organizational needs.
- If the primary unit's demand changes, shifts will be reassigned to ensure contract completion.
- UW Health is transitioning away from outdated Microsoft file formats.
- All profiles must be submitted in .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx formats.
