- Registration: Candidates must possess a valid Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
- BLS Certification: Must be certified through the American Heart Association only.
We are looking for a dedicated Sleep Technologist who will:
- Patient Assessment: Gather, evaluate, and synthesize patient data to address individual patient needs.
- Data Integration: Connect and manage data outputs from capnographs, oximeters, and respiratory inductive plethysmographs to electrophysiologic amplifiers and computer-based recording systems.
- Testing Protocols: Collaborate with the ordering physician or clinical director to establish final testing parameters and procedures in line with laboratory standards.
- Candidates must have a permanent residence outside a 50-mile radius of Madison.
- Experience in a clinical environment is essential.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a sleep laboratory is required.
- Completion of a prior traveler assignment lasting 13 weeks is necessary.
Only candidates who can accommodate the posted schedule and are interested in the unit should be considered.
Unit Specific Details- Travelers will be prioritized for floating to units that work with pediatric patients up to one year of age, based on their skills and experience.
- Shifts may be assigned across multiple units depending on staffing requirements and organizational needs.
- If the primary unit's needs change, shifts will be reassigned to ensure contract completion.
- UW Health is transitioning away from outdated Microsoft file formats.
- All profiles must be submitted in .docx, .xlsx, and .pptx formats.
