Job Summary

As a Sleep Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating sleep disorders. This is a dynamic environment where patient care is at the forefront.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients and equipment for ordered testing, interviewing patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
  • Perform and document testing, monitoring patients throughout testing and intervening as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
  • Apply patient monitoring devices and record physiologic calibrations.
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, scoring, interpreting, and reporting results of sleep studies.
  • Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing, determining and reporting needed repairs/replacements.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) - American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM)
Work Environment
