Diagnostic Sleep Study Specialist

SSM Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Sleep Study Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Sleep Lab, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sleep studies to evaluate and treat patients with sleep disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and equipment for testing, interviewing patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures.
  • Perform and document testing, monitoring patients throughout the process and intervening as necessary to resolve patient needs or equipment issues.
  • Apply patient monitoring devices and record physiologic calibrations.
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs, scoring, interpreting, and reporting results of sleep studies.
  • Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing, determining and reporting needed repairs or replacements.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Requirements:

  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists or the American Board of Sleep Medicine.
  • State licensure in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.
