Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at CounselFi. This role involves managing the day-to-day accounting needs of small business clients, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is delivered. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding clients from sales handoff through onboarding and throughout their entire client journey.

About the Role

In this critical position, you will manage daily bookkeeping functions for a portfolio of 20 to 30 small business clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a smooth and consistent experience. Additionally, you will process payroll, handle month-end close procedures, prepare and deliver financial reports, and collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide seamless support and financial insights.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in bookkeeping roles, preferably managing multiple clients in an accounting or bookkeeping firm.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required, and familiarity with payroll systems and other accounting tools is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • A proactive mindset with a knack for identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
