Job Overview:

The Front Desk Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for guests at our resort. This position is responsible for managing guest inquiries, reservations, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Handle incoming calls and assist guests with reservations, confirmations, and inquiries regarding room needs and resort services.
  2. Provide detailed information about resort offerings, including events, dining options, and pricing for activities.
  3. Utilize effective selling techniques to process and confirm room reservations.
  4. Transfer calls or take messages for other departments as needed.
  5. Process credit card transactions for guest purchases and services.
  6. Address guest concerns and complaints with empathy, focusing on delivering outstanding service.
  7. Support the Ski Lift Lodge Restaurant with take-out orders and assist with after-hours guest requests.
  8. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Lodge Manager.

Qualifications:

Education: Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Previous experience in guest services or reservations is preferred, with a minimum of 6 months experience at Arizona Snowbowl being advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Fluency in English is required; bilingual abilities are a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow directions.
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to high-quality customer service.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer.
  • Ability to walk between buildings and rooms.
  • Capability to bend, twist, and lift as necessary.
  • Active listening skills to anticipate and respond to guest needs.
