Overview

Role Summary

As a Retail Associate, you are a vital contributor to the customer experience by delivering prompt and courteous service. Your responsibilities include establishing rapport with customers, processing transactions, maintaining merchandise displays, and upholding inventory standards. You will assist customers with inquiries and ensure they depart with a positive impression of their shopping experience. Positions may involve working as a cashier, sales expert, or stock associate, with both part-time and full-time opportunities available. You will report directly to the management team.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver exceptional customer service by welcoming and engaging with customers while providing information about our offerings. Execute cashier duties and adhere to policies while processing customer transactions. Engage in training related to wine, spirits, and beer to enhance your ability to recommend products and connect customers with suitable options. Restock and maintain inventory and visual merchandising standards, including home spots, end caps, and platforms in anticipation of product deliveries. Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met throughout the sales floor, stockroom, and other areas.

Desired Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older. Flexibility to work varying schedules based on business needs, which may include part-time or full-time hours. Proficiency in utilizing technology relevant to the role and accessing necessary information to fulfill daily tasks. A minimum of one year of experience in retail sales, cashiering, merchandising, or inventory management is preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and engaging demeanor. A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A desire to enhance retail service skills and knowledge of products and services. Relevant certifications such as WSE or Sommelier are a plus.

Physical Requirements (with or without accommodations)

Ability to walk, bend, and remain on your feet for extended periods, typically 8-10 hours a day. Capability to climb ladders and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. overhead and repeatedly.

The hourly wage for this position is $25.00. Compensation may vary based on factors such as market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. *The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
