Job Overview

We are experiencing significant expansion and are in search of a Senior Business Strategy Consultant to work remotely or from our headquarters. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience as a marketing strategist or in a comparable position, ideally within the ISP sector, showcasing exceptional analytical and communication capabilities.

The consultant will collaborate with executive teams and boards, tasked with delivering critical insights and analyses essential for assisting existing broadband providers and new market entrants in maintaining competitiveness in a swiftly changing landscape by effectively connecting with and engaging their target demographics.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Leadership and Consulting Services
  • Conduct strategic and analytical evaluations of client business prospects and operations, formulate and assess marketing strategies, and scrutinize execution methodologies.
  • Integrate market trends with specific competitive and operational factors to devise strategic and financial objectives and the tactics to realize those objectives.
  • Guide and facilitate discussions among client C-level executives to analyze, validate, and support key initiatives.
  • Continuously monitor marketing trends within the industry, evaluate their implications for client operations and market position, and propose best practices and optimization strategies for implementation.
Business Development
  • Expand marketing consulting services with both new and existing clients, including crafting service proposals.
  • Foster relationships with new and existing clients by establishing and maintaining trusted partnerships grounded in thought leadership and superior service delivery.
  • Participate in and present at industry conferences, positioning JSI as a strategic thought leader in rural broadband marketing strategies, trends, and challenges.
  • Build and sustain relationships with relevant marketing service providers and explore partnership opportunities when feasible.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of ten (10) years of relevant marketing experience in the Communications/Broadband sector; an MBA is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development, oversight, and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies, plans, and budgets.
  • Prior experience in a consulting role, showcasing a successful track record in client relationship management, consultative sales, and service delivery.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in engaging with C-Level and Board of Director stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends in the ISP industry, data analysis, market research, and marketing technologies, along with a solid understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
  • Proven ability to lead clients, teams, and complex projects.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in people management with a successful history of motivating teams to achieve departmental growth and budgetary goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
  • Self-driven to meet budgetary targets, develop new areas of expertise, and adapt as necessary.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including multitasking, managing competing priorities and deadlines, timely completion of administrative tasks, and a client-service orientation.
