Senior Business Strategy Consultant
We are experiencing significant growth and are in search of a Senior Business Strategy Consultant to work remotely or from our headquarters.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience as a marketing advisor or in a comparable position, ideally within the ISP sector, showcasing essential analytical and communication capabilities. Collaborating with executive leadership and board members, the selected candidate will be responsible for delivering critical insights and analyses necessary for assisting existing broadband providers and new market entrants in maintaining competitiveness in a swiftly changing landscape by effectively engaging their target demographics. The consultant must stay informed about the latest trends in the ISP sector and leverage this knowledge to devise successful marketing initiatives. Proven experience in a leading marketing capacity supporting operators in a highly competitive broadband environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Client Leadership and Consulting Services Delivery
- Conduct strategic and analytical evaluations of client business opportunities and operations, formulate and assess marketing strategies, and evaluate execution methods.
- Integrate trends with market-specific competitive and operational factors to establish strategic and financial objectives and tactics to achieve those objectives.
- Guide and facilitate discussions with client C-level executives to analyze, validate, and support key initiatives.
- Continuously monitor marketing trends within the industry, assess the implications for client operations and positioning, and recommend best practices and optimization strategies for implementation.
Business Development
- Expand marketing consulting services with both new and existing clients, including crafting service proposals.
- Build and nurture client relationships based on trust, thought leadership, and high-quality service delivery.
- Participate in and present at industry events, establishing the firm as a strategic thought leader in rural broadband marketing strategies, trends, and challenges.
- Establish and maintain connections with relevant marketing service providers and explore partnership opportunities where feasible.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with ten (10) years of relevant marketing experience in the Communications / Broadband sector. An MBA is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in developing, overseeing, and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, plans, and budgets.
- Prior experience in a consulting role, showcasing a successful track record in building client relationships, consultative sales, and service delivery.
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in engaging with C-Level and Board of Director stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of current trends in the ISP industry, data analysis, market research, and marketing technologies, with a solid understanding of marketing principles and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead clients, teams, and complex projects.
- Five (5) years of experience in people management with a demonstrated ability to motivate staff towards achieving departmental growth and budgetary goals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Self-driven to meet budgetary targets, develop new areas of expertise and growth, and adapt as necessary.
- Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, managing competing priorities and deadlines, timely completion of administrative tasks, and thriving in a fast-paced environment. A client-service mindset is essential.
