Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at Alamo Group. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, marketing support, and sales assistance to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide efficient and courteous service to customers, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including orders, invoices, and credit information.
- Process payments and credit transactions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Follow up with customers on backorders and proactively engage in sales calls to drive business growth.
- Prepare parts quotes for domestic and international customers, ensuring accurate pricing and availability.
- Assist with Australia order entry and follow-up, ensuring seamless communication with international customers.
- Troubleshoot customer complaints and provide solutions, keeping customers informed of sales and pricing information.
- Collaborate with warranty and technical support teams to resolve equipment issues on behalf of customers.
- Support part sales and marketing efforts, working closely with equipment sales personnel, accounting, shipping, and data entry departments.
- Work with the purchasing group to obtain pricing and availability on special order items, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Assist with dispositioning of obsolete items, pull-off items, damaged, and excess inventory, ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Handle customer parts returns, processing returns and issuing refunds or replacements as needed.
- Process in-house customer repairs, including all paperwork and invoicing.
- Generate monthly reports compiling sales analysis, providing valuable insights to the sales and marketing team.
- Perform daily administrative tasks, including backup credit returns, commercial invoices for export orders, freight audits, and more.
- Maintain item setup for Eparts shop, ensuring comprehensive data management and updates.
- Capture parts photos and upload images to Eparts shop, enhancing customer experience.
- Coordinate and maintain parts displays in the department and for trade shows, showcasing our products in a professional manner.
- Assist with ideas for marketing tools and advertisements, contributing to the development of effective marketing strategies.
- High school diploma or GED certificate required.
- Previous customer relations/sales experience required, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial sales and/or marketing environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good math skills, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
- Able to plan, organize, and prioritize work, using good judgment and reasoning.
