Position Overview

Join our dynamic team at Workatfirst as an Operations Supervisor. This role is essential in assisting the General Manager with the oversight of daily operational activities. The Operations Supervisor plays a critical role in evaluating employee performance, identifying safety concerns, and addressing operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the coordination of dispatching, monitoring in-service activities, and daily operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in optimal working condition.
  • Prepare and verify payroll for operational staff.
  • Determine staffing needs for various operational roles including Supervisors, Dispatchers, and Operators.
  • Facilitate the recruitment, selection, and training of operations personnel in conjunction with the Safety Manager.
  • Assist in the development of procedural manuals for operational staff.
  • Ensure accurate collection and reporting of revenue.
  • Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Monitor and assess operational activities, including vehicle performance metrics and customer feedback.
  • Recommend disciplinary actions as necessary for operational personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of transit operations, maintenance, and administration.
  • A minimum of 10 years of management experience in paratransit or ADA operations.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Experience with union negotiations and grievance procedures is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Trapeze software is a plus.
