Job Title: Program Director for Education and National Security Initiatives
Location: Washington, D.C.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Program Director for our Education and National Security Initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for launching and leading this program, which focuses on identifying national security vulnerabilities in the American education system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct original research on national security threats in education, including reviewing legislative and regulatory processes, foreign funding streams, and the influence of outside groups.
- Publish research findings in internal and external publications, such as newspapers, journals, and online outlets.
- Present research at events organized by our organization and external venues, as well as on television and radio news programs.
- Serve as a resource for research and analysis to policymakers, journalists, and other stakeholders.
- Develop and implement strategic partnerships to increase the target audience for our research.
- Testify before Congress and other governmental bodies on research findings when invited.
- Collaborate with our programs and fellows to integrate research related to America's education system into their work.
- Create and manage operational partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in a relevant field, doctorate preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Nuanced understanding of American foreign policy.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to define objectives and execute research plans.
- Background in the education field, with public or private sector experience preferred.
- Management experience preferred.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a remote or office setting, independently and as part of a team.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
