Position Overview

We are excited to present an opportunity for a PNT Systems Engineer to join our esteemed Positioning, Navigation, and Timing Team. This role is integral to our expanding technology firm, which operates across various sectors including missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control. As a member of our team, you will engage in pioneering PNT-related research and facilitate the swift development of PNT prototypes through rigorous simulation and testing methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute significantly to the establishment and management of a testbed dedicated to alternative positioning, navigation, and timing technologies in alignment with the objectives of the United States Space Force.
  • Engage in the acquisition, configuration, integration, operation, and upkeep of PNT testing and simulation apparatus and infrastructure to fulfill the current and future requirements of our clients.
  • Devise and implement test plans, analyze test outcomes (developing additional analytical tools as necessary), and produce technical documentation to convey critical findings to stakeholders.
  • Exhibit innovative application of technical expertise to address complex challenges and serve as a repository of professional and technical knowledge gained through experience.
  • Conduct investigations and assessments of significant complexity, propose enhancements in technical applications and analyses, evaluate vendor capabilities for necessary products or services, and provide expert consultation to stakeholders.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with no prior experience.
  • Possession of, or eligibility to obtain, an active Secret clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is a prerequisite for this position.

Failure to meet any of these criteria will disqualify candidates from consideration.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience in designing and executing tests and evaluations involving PNT and GPS systems.
  • Proficiency in engineering testing and analysis utilizing Python tools.
  • Familiarity with RF testing equipment, including spectrum analyzers and software-defined radios.
  • Experience in developing software interfaces for hardware to facilitate communication and automation of testing equipment.
  • Background in designing and conducting experiments with radio frequency devices and instrumentation.
  • Experience in the development, testing, and analysis of alternative positioning, navigation, or timing technologies.
  • Knowledge of implementing and assessing machine learning models, such as convolutional neural networks, for classification tasks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
