Role Responsibilities
As a Senior Principal Systems Engineer, you will be integral to the Integrated Survivability Solutions (ISS) product line within the Countermeasures & Electromagnetic Attack Solutions sector. Your expertise will contribute to enhancing multi-platform detection and response systems that safeguard aircraft, ground vehicles, and maritime operations.

Key Duties Include:
  • Developing and refining modeling and simulation algorithms for detection systems, including the 2-Color Advanced Warning System (2CAWS) and the AN/AAR-57 Common Missile Warning System (CMWS).
  • Designing, developing, and testing sophisticated software solutions for EO/IR technologies.
  • Assessing complex designs to identify potential flaws and areas for improvement.
  • Implementing effective methodologies to minimize design and production costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Engaging with external stakeholders, including customers and partner organizations, to ensure project alignment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams in various phases of project execution, including planning, requirements gathering, design, development, integration, and testing.

Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative spirit and a passion for problem-solving. You will take pride in delivering high-quality results and mentoring junior engineers to foster their growth.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Eligibility for obtaining a DOD Security Clearance.
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as C++ and Python.
  • Experience in embedded and/or application software development.
  • Strong foundation in Object-Oriented design principles.
  • Familiarity with software and systems engineering processes and tools.
  • Experience in software testing, validation, and verification processes.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Background in algorithm development, particularly with Machine Learning applications.
  • Experience in Real-time Embedded Software Development.
  • Familiarity with Agile Development methodologies and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Proficiency in using software tools such as Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, and GitLab.
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like MagicDraw.
  • Experience in automated software testing development and execution.
  • Exposure to managing software project costs and schedules.
