Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and Mentor: Coach and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom, modeling behaviors and providing constructive feedback to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Implement KinderCare's research-backed curriculum in a way that meets the unique needs of each child, promoting academic excellence and social-emotional growth.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and thrive.
  • Parent Partnerships: Build strong relationships with parents, working collaboratively to provide the best possible care and education for their children.
  • Center Success: Support your center's success by partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment, accreditation, and community engagement.
  • Community Building: Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, and community contacts to promote a culture of excellence and collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multitask and handle multiple situations effectively.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential: Possess an active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
  • State Trainer (Preferred): Approved state trainer or willingness to obtain.
  • Early Childhood Education Experience: 2-3 years of experience in early childhood education (preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
  • State-Specific Guidelines: Meet state-specific guidelines for the role.
  • Physical Demands: Use a computer, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors.
  • Communication Skills: Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English.
