Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet and exceed the New Jersey Student Learning Standards
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the school staff and with parents to ensure student success
  • Provide instruction and experiences in learning the culture of the community
  • Communicate regularly with parents to nurture a supportive and cooperative relationship between home and school
  • Understand and comply with the rules and regulations regarding the education of Social Studies students
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Studies or related field
  • Elementary education endorsement and Social Studies endorsement
  • Excellent experience in teaching and working with adolescents
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to use electronic equipment for word processing, data management, and visual presentations
  • Fluency in the target language
  • Background check and clearance from the Department of Education
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be exposed to a variety of childhood and adult diseases and illnesses, as well as heated/air conditioned and ventilated facilities.
