About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Regional Conservation Manager to join our team in the State of Washington.

As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing a wide range of services to conservation districts across the state. Your expertise will include assisting districts in creating and implementing policies and programs to enhance their impact on natural resources.

You will recommend management strategies to district supervisors regarding planning, budgeting, personnel, and interagency coordination, as well as perform field audits of district programs.

In addition, you will assist with the implementation and operation of specific agency programs, including Implementation Grants, Natural Resource Investments, Engineering, and Regional Conservation Partnership Program.

About You

We are looking for an individual who is passionate about conservation and has a strong background in natural resource management.

Candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience working with diverse stakeholders.

A valid Washington State Driver's License is also required.

Requirements
  • Working knowledge of laws, policies, and procedures impacting conservation districts.
  • Awareness of state and federal policies affecting conservation district natural resource programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and internet applications.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an agricultural or natural resource-related field and two years of professional experience.
  • Additional applicable work experience may be substituted for educational requirements.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
