About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Penn State Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing a safe and efficient operating room environment for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile patient care environment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Set up and arrange instrumentation and equipment for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary tools and supplies are readily available.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, providing instruments and supplies as needed to ensure a smooth and efficient procedure.
  • Provide surgical assistance during operating room procedures, working closely with the surgical team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Requirements
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technologist program and certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or a Certified First Assistant (CFA).
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital or surgical setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
