About the Role:
The Area Coach is a key leadership position at Southpaw, responsible for providing overall leadership and direct supervision of multiple Taco Bell restaurants. This role is designed to support the long-term development of Restaurant General Managers (RGMs) and ensure that customers receive a consistent and positive experience in our restaurants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Management Capability: Role model the How We Work Together Principles, find and hire top talent, conduct orientations, build a deep bench of leaders, and coach RGMs on key performance indicators.
- Ensure Consistent Customer Satisfaction: Role model Customer Mania, understand customer perceptions, coach RGMs to deliver exceptional customer experiences, and lead product and program rollouts.
- Coach Process and Discipline Around the P&L: Analyze financial performance, coach RGMs on sales and profitability, and provide regular feedback.
Requirements and Essential Functions:
- Strong preference for internal promotion from RGM/MTM position.
- Associates or Undergraduate degree or equivalent Taco Bell/industry experience.
- 6-8 years supervisory experience in a food service or retail environment.
- Thorough knowledge of Taco Bell performance metrics, product specifications, and management systems.
- Technically proficient in all aspects of food preparation, production, and delivery.
- Demonstrated track record of workplace achievement in the selection, coaching, and development of managerial employees.
- Proven ability to drive customer satisfaction, financial performance, and employee satisfaction.
- Must pass background check criteria and drug test.
- Able to oversee and manage subordinate employees and provide direction.
- Must travel to designated stores and work with management team on a regular basis.
