Job Overview

Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is currently in search of a skilled electromechanical Service Technician to maintain and repair industrial laundry machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues in industrial and commercial laundry systems by observing signs such as abnormal sounds, vibrations, or leaks.
  • Execute repairs on mechanical components, which may include replacing worn belts, realigning misaligned parts, or lubricating bearings.
  • Examine electrical connections, wiring, and components including heating elements, thermostats, and sensors.
  • Fix or substitute defective switches, thermostats, or wiring as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Demonstrated experience as a technician in the industrial laundry sector or a related field with an emphasis on machinery repair.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the capability to diagnose and rectify both mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Familiarity with various industrial laundry equipment, such as washers, dryers, and finishing machines.
  • Solid understanding of electronic control systems, including sensors, proprietary software, and control panels.
  • Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and technical documentation effectively.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
  • Physical endurance and dexterity to manage heavy machinery and perform necessary repairs.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass background checks, including MVR and professional references.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to walk, climb, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, and bend at the waist.
  • Capability to ascend a ladder of at least 30 feet.
  • Maximum unassisted lift capacity of 50 lbs, with an average lift of less than 20 lbs.
  • Exposure to seasonal weather conditions based on geographic location.
  • Working in environments with moving parts and electrical components necessitating adherence to safety protocols.
  • Travel may be required under varying conditions.
