As a vital part of our organization, the Operations Support Manager will play a key role in assisting with the management of club operations, ensuring a superior experience for all members. This position will collaborate closely with the Club Manager to cultivate a positive team environment and drive the financial success of the club.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing team, including Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Custodians.
• Help maintain a welcoming environment for all members and guests, ensuring adherence to exceptional customer service standards.
• Support staff management and provide assistance to the Club Manager as required.
- Assist in scheduling and supervising staff to ensure all shifts are adequately covered.
- Ensure staff consistently delivers outstanding customer service.
- Assist in addressing employee concerns or issues as they arise.
- Support the administration of weekly employee payroll as necessary.
- Provide backup support for absent employees as needed.
• Lead by example in all front desk activities.
- Welcome members and guests, ensuring a friendly and inviting atmosphere.
- Answer phone inquiries in a courteous manner and assist callers with various questions.
- Check members into the system, conduct tours, sign up new members, and communicate updates or events.
- Address and resolve member requests and concerns effectively.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the club.
- Ensure the front desk area and lobby are tidy and organized.
- Participate in regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, including mopping spills, removing trash, and cleaning windows.
- Help ensure the safety of employees and members by reporting maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist in ordering supplies while adhering to the club's budgetary constraints.
• Track various statistics and reports on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
• Manage marketing initiatives to ensure staff are informed and trained on current promotions.
• Make daily bank deposits as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on club needs.
Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of customer service experience, preferably in a gym or retail setting.
• Current CPR Certification is required.
• Basic proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft Suite) and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong supervisory, communication, and listening skills.
• A hardworking, enthusiastic, and energetic individual with a passion for health and fitness.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements:
• Continuous standing and walking during shifts.
• Frequent verbal communication in person or over the phone.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals during shifts.
