About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly qualified Research and Teaching Faculty Member to join our team at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. As a key member of our Department of Nutrition and Exercise Physiology, you will contribute to our mission of precision nutrition and lifestyle intervention approaches for the prevention and treatment of age-associated sarcopenia and cardiometabolic diseases.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a nationally and internationally recognized extra-mural funded research program focused on skeletal muscle biology and exercise physiology.
  • Contribute to the Department's and School's teaching efforts at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the candidate's area of expertise.
  • Provide service to the school, university, community, and profession.
Requirements
  • PhD in a relevant field.
  • Clinical and translational research experience in skeletal muscle biology and exercise physiology.
  • Expertise in evaluating protein dynamics.
  • Scholarly activity and a record of teaching and advising of graduate/undergraduate students.
