Academic Hematologist Oncologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Hematologist Oncologist to join our team at the University of Missouri Healthcare. As a key member of our Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical knowledge, and contributing to the growth and development of our department.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematological and oncological disorders, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical trials, research studies, and educational programs to advance the field of hematology and oncology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of patient care, improve patient outcomes, and advance the department's mission.
- Engage in teaching and mentoring activities to support the education and development of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Hematology and Oncology.
- At least 3 years of experience in clinical, academic practice.
- Strong research background and experience in clinical trials.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Interest in specializing in bone marrow transplantation, CAR-T cell therapy, breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, brain cancer, or benign hematology.
- Experience in basic science research or interest in translational research.
- Currently funded physician-scientists or experience in clinical trial management.
