About the Role

The University of Missouri School of Medicine and MU Health Care are seeking a highly skilled Hematologist Oncologist to join our team. As a key member of our Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, conducting research, and contributing to the growth and development of our program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematological and oncological disorders
  • Conduct research in hematology and oncology, with a focus on bone marrow transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy
  • Participate in the development and implementation of clinical trials
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Contribute to the education and training of medical students and residents

Requirements:

  • MD/DO degree
  • Board certification in hematology and oncology
  • Experience in clinical research and trial development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in bone marrow transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy
  • Interest in specializing in one or several of the following focus areas: breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, brain cancer, or benign hematology
  • Basic science research experience or interest
  • Currently funded physician-scientists
  • Clinical trial experience
