Opportunity for a Clinical Addiction Psychiatrist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Addiction Psychiatrist to join our team at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. As a key member of our department, you will play a crucial role in advancing our understanding of addiction and developing innovative treatments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct clinical research in addiction psychiatry, with a focus on psychopharmacology and non-invasive neural stimulation.
  • Collaborate with our team of addiction scientists to design and implement Phase II and Phase III clinical trials.
  • Maintain extramural grant funding to support your research initiatives.
  • Develop and execute research objectives through independent projects or team collaborations.
  • Communicate research findings to diverse audiences through presentations and publications.
Requirements:
  • MD/DO degree
  • Board certification in Psychiatry
  • Board eligibility in Addiction Psychiatry
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 0-3+ years of post-graduate experience, with a track record of research success
  • Publication record demonstrating expertise in addiction neuroscience
  • Experience with successful project initiation and completion in cellular, molecular, or systems neuroscience
