Division Director of Endocrinology Opportunity

The University of Missouri School of Medicine and MU Health Care are seeking a world-class clinician-scientist to lead the Division of Endocrinology. As a key member of the Department of Medicine, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of Missourians with diabetes and metabolic disorders.

Clinical Responsibilities
  • Ambulatory care and teaching in the Cosmopolitan International Diabetes and Endocrinology Center and the Harry S Truman VA Medical Center
  • Well-developed multidisciplinary clinics with Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery in the Ellis Fischel Cancer Center
  • Consultative procedural care for patients with adrenal and pituitary disorders, and with obesity
Education and Research
  • Thriving Endocrinology fellowship program with demonstrable academic success, graduating three fellows annually
  • Internal Medicine and Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency programs with a combined total of around 80 residents
  • NIH-funded investigators in cardiovascular and metabolic disorders, with expertise in vascular remodeling, repair, and regeneration; bioenergetics; heart failure; precision nutrition and non-alcoholic fatty liver
Organization and Leadership
  • The Division of Endocrinology is one of ten academic divisions in the Department of Medicine
  • University Hospital is situated on the main University of Missouri campus, with ready access to collaborators in other School of Medicine departments
