Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and screens visitors to ensure safety and security within the premises.
  • Conducts patrols around the exterior and parking areas to maintain a secure environment.
  • Inspects the interior of the facility, verifying student passes and monitoring restrooms and locker rooms for appropriate conduct.
  • Assists in escorting students as necessary.
  • Responds promptly to emergencies that arise within the school.
  • Participates in mandatory training sessions as directed by the security leadership.
  • Communicates effectively with administrators, staff, and students to foster a safe atmosphere.
  • Upholds the District Code of Conduct through active supervision.
  • Oversees students in study centers and study halls as required.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by security management.

  • Must maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters.

Certification/License:


Current registration as a Security Guard with the relevant state authority is required at the time of appointment. If not currently registered, registration must be completed within a specified timeframe after appointment.

Experience:


Preferred experience in an educational environment, particularly with school-aged children, or relevant experience indicating capability for the role. Security experience is also preferred. Successful candidates should demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, and the ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
  • Competence in following oral and written instructions.
  • Positive attitude and ability to foster healthy relationships with students, staff, and families.
