About Us

Bush Veterinary Neurology has four locations across 2 states. Our clinics are operated by board certified neurologists that provide same-day life-saving neurosurgery and long-term medical management.

Our hospitals house state of the art equipment to provide advanced diagnostic testing including cerebrospinal fluid collection/analysis, computed tomography, electroencephalography, MRI and more. Our neurologists perform both spinal and brain surgeries.

Some of these surgeries include intervertebral disc surgery, brain tumor removal, foramen magnum decompression, ventricular shunt replacement and more. Veterinary technicians play an integral role in our hospital whether they are handling patient care, taking care of clients, running our diagnostic imaging equipment, or assisting doctors in surgery.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team at Bush Veterinary Neurology Service in Leesburg, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical/nursing care to our patients, working well independently and as part of a team, and practicing good judgment to ensure high-quality care for all patients.

Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
  • Administer medications (IV or other methods)
  • Take vitals and observe, document and recognize changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition
  • Provide high-quality medical/nursing care
  • Work well independently and as part of a team, practicing good judgment to ensure high-quality care for all patients
  • Adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are not afraid to ask questions, are eager to enhance your skill set, and maintain a positive attitude
Requirements
  • Current and active Veterinary Technician License in Virginia, or have an active license in another state that qualifies you to be eligible for licensing
  • At least two years of Veterinary experience as an LVT, or one with two years as a Veterinary Assistant
  • Extensive experience with anesthesia, venipuncture and catheters
  • Excellent communication, patient care and customer service skills
  • Be flexible and adapt well to new situations
  • Work well as part of a team
