PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Below is a summary of the key functions associated with this position. Additional tasks may be assigned as necessary.

1. Establish and nurture essential relationships with clients and insurance carriers through various communication channels including phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
2. Provide support to designated clients and team members regarding inquiries related to service administration, billing, claims, and problem resolution as needed.
3. Actively pursue opportunities for cross-selling and recommend additional coverage options.
4. Collaborate with the Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive, if applicable, to oversee and manage the renewal process for assigned accounts. Schedule meetings with clients and/or Producers to present renewal proposals and supporting documentation to secure agreement on renewals or explore alternative options.
5. Spearhead the marketing efforts for accounts as directed by the Producer and/or Marketing Account Executive, if applicable.
6. Prepare marketing materials or provide necessary information to marketing personnel. Present options to clients as appropriate.
7. Complete the onboarding process; prepare and deliver all necessary documentation to clients.
8. Develop a strategy with the Producer to conduct relationship management meetings and/or visits with assigned clients.
9. Demonstrate proficiency in client management systems, specifically for updating policies that are written or renewed, logging activities to document client interactions, following up on service issues, and managing follow-up tasks effectively. Utilize the system to gather information to assist clients.
10. Participate in seminars, training sessions, and carrier meetings to stay informed about new products available for clients and gain insights into legislative changes as they arise.
11. Provide mentorship to team members.
12. Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and relevant training.
2. Minimum of five years of experience in the insurance industry.
3. Valid insurance license(s).
4. Strong interpersonal skills to cultivate and maintain positive business relationships with clients and market contacts; including excellent communication abilities and a service-oriented mindset, with a cooperative approach to resolving client and company issues.
5. Ability to demonstrate leadership skills by providing guidance, constructive feedback, and training while motivating others to enhance productivity and team morale.
6. Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.
7. Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight trips.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Advanced degree.
2. Professional certification in the relevant field.
3. Experience with Requests for Proposal.
