Job Title: Stormwater Project Engineer

Gannett Fleming is seeking a highly skilled Stormwater Project Engineer to join our Water practice in Houston or Fort Worth, TX offices.

About the Role:

In this critical position, you will play a key role in shaping the infrastructure that supports and protects communities. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing critical drainage impact studies, master plans, and innovative design solutions to mitigate flooding, enhance public safety, and support sustainable development.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of drainage impact studies, master plans, and engineering reports.
  • Develop project design concepts, criteria, and construction plans, and review project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
  • Collaborate with clients and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work.
  • Analyze complex design problems and develop new or improved techniques or procedures.
  • Consult with construction personnel concerning design constructability.
  • Provide input for proposals and pursuit of new projects.
  • Supervise junior-level staff and make recommendations on project staffing.
  • Communicate independently with clients and manage design teams integrated with multiple disciplines.
Requirements:
  • BS in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • 8+ years of applicable H&H experience.
  • Expertise with ArcGIS, HEC-RAS (1D/2D), HEC-HMS, XP SWMM (1D/2D).
  • AutoCAD/Microstation (preferred).
  • Expertise with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience with project proposals and presentations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Some experience with management of small work groups and project tasks.
