Position Overview

Compensation: Towne Park is dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation. Actual pay will reflect a candidate's relevant skills, experience, education, and location. The hourly wage for this role ranges from $10 to $12, with an additional $6 to $8 in tips.

Work Schedule: The work schedule for this position is flexible, covering various shifts.

Benefits: Employees can enroll in various insurance plans, including accident and critical illness coverage, as well as telemedicine services. Additionally, employees have the opportunity to participate in the company’s 401k retirement savings plan.

Eligibility for benefits is contingent upon job classification, duration of employment, and hours worked. Benefits are subject to change and may be governed by specific plan terms.

Seasonal and temporary positions may not qualify for the benefits mentioned above.

ROLE SUMMARY
The Parking Services Specialist is tasked with delivering outstanding hospitality services to guests in a courteous, attentive, and efficient manner. This role involves parking and retrieving guest vehicles promptly and safely, as well as assisting guests with their luggage during their arrival and departure.

Key Duties - % of Time

Maintains a friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, coworkers, and clients. Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet with warmth and professionalism. Utilizes guests' last names during interactions. - 25%

Uses a daily greeting and welcomes guests to the facility. Adheres to proper phone etiquette. Remains in designated areas when not engaged in tasks. - 10%

Parks and retrieves vehicles with caution and care. Assists guests with luggage and bell services as required. Opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests. - 20%

Provides guests with directions, taxi services, reservations, and other inquiries. Shares information about the facility's amenities, meeting rooms, and local attractions. Delivers messages and items as requested. Shuttles guests to approved locations. - 10%

Explains parking fees and retrieval processes to guests upon arrival. Issues claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks prior to returning keys. Diligently maintains all ticket information, including key tags, guest folios, vehicle locations, damage surveys, and claim check receipts. Completes location details on all key tags after parking vehicles. Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when necessary. - 35%

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Required Licensure, Certification, etc.:

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must be at least 18 years old and able to pass a background check and drug screening

Work Experience:

One month of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge:

Understanding of customer service principles and practices.

Skills:

Proficient in reading and writing standard English Ability to comprehend simple instructions and correspondence Capable of writing basic correspondence Effective in presenting information in small group settings to guests, clients, and team members Competent in basic arithmetic and handling monetary transactions Familiarity with 24-hour and military time formats Understanding of applicable rates based on time Proficiency in operating a manual transmission is highly desirable Ability to perform parallel parking

SCOPE

Authority to Act:

The job is generally routine, with established practices and procedures to follow. Duties are performed under specific guidance, with frequent checks or verification. Decisions are made within defined operational instructions and departmental guidelines. Errors in judgment could disrupt the department's efficiency.

Budget Responsibility:

The employee has control over available resources only.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate effectively. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Lifting Requirements

Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Working Environment

Most work will be performed outdoors for extended periods, potentially throughout the entire shift. Employees may be exposed to various environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold. While some protection from weather may be provided, it may not be sufficient against temperature changes.

Travel

Travel of up to 5% may be required.
