Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to visual merchandising standards, including appropriate signage and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge to enhance selling, merchandising, and feedback processes.
  • Guarantee that all team members uphold a professional appearance in accordance with company dress code policies.

Principal Duties:

  • Manage expenses and safeguard company assets following LIDS Retail policies.
  • Develop store schedules to ensure adequate coverage while adhering to wage control guidelines.
  • Follow established procedures for accurate inventory management, including receiving, transferring, and conducting product counts.
  • Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping in compliance with LIDS Retail policies and relevant laws.
  • Oversee store opening and closing procedures as outlined in the Operations Policies and Procedures Manual.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Guide store associates through effective use of LIDS Training Programs, setting sales and operational goals, and providing regular follow-up.
  • Recruit, mentor, and train store personnel to meet operational objectives and comply with company policies.
  • Implement progressive disciplinary actions, including verbal and written warnings, and execute employment terminations with necessary approvals.
  • Encourage compliance among all store associates with established company policies regarding inventory, funds, and property security.
  • Perform tasks of subordinates as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge & Skills:

  • A minimum of two years of post-secondary education and one year of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales results while minimizing losses.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to deliver training and assess retention effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the capability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer and navigating relevant software applications.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb ladders while working overhead.
  • Willingness to stand for extended periods and travel overnight for training or business meetings.
