Bakery Department Supervisor

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Bakery Department Supervisor to join our team at Whole Foods Market 365. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Multi-Team team leader(s) with scheduling and supervision of Team Members, as well as maintaining a positive work environment that promotes high morale for the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Models and delivers outstanding customer service, ensuring a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members at all times.
- Team Supervision
- Supervises and delegates tasks to Team Members, ensuring an effective and efficient response to customer questions, requests, and concerns.
- Training and Development
- Assists in training of new Team Members, utilizing learning checklists and training materials, and selects, trains, develops, mentors, motivates, and counsels Team Members in a manner that sustains a high-performance team and minimizes turnover.
- Store Operations
- Ensures all necessary breaks are given, communicates team concerns to the Team Leader and Associate Team Leader, and maintains awareness of customer flows and needs, directing Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- 12+ months retail experience, with a strong background in customer service, team supervision, and training and development.
- Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead and develop others, and a strong understanding of regulatory and safety policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a wet and cold environment.
