We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Minetta Tavern DC, a 3-Star NYT restaurant part of the Balthazar Restaurant Group. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating exquisite desserts and pastries that exceed our high standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of desserts, pastries, and cakes to order
  • Develop and execute new dessert recipes and presentation styles
  • Work closely with the pastry team to ensure seamless service and high-quality products
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient service and high-quality dishes

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a high-end restaurant or boutique pastry shop
  • Passion for French desserts and classic techniques
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a high level of quality
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends
