Job Summary:

Job Title: Executive Pastry Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Chef to lead our pastry department and drive culinary innovation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation, production, and ordering of high-quality pastries and desserts for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pastry Department Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the pastry department, ensuring efficient and safe food production, preparation, and presentation.
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop innovative and seasonal menu items that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • High-Volume Production: Manage the production of high-volume pastry items for large events and catering operations.
  • Food Safety and Quality Control: Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
  • Team Management: Supervise and train pastry team members, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality products.
Requirements:
  • Culinary Degree: A degree in culinary arts or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 6 years of experience in upscale, high-volume hotel and/or catering operations.
  • Skills: Excellent pastry skills, knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles, and strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Education: ServSafe or Department of Health certification is a plus.
