Role Overview:

The Regional Advisor Consultant (RAC) for RIA & Private Banking will focus on delivering specialized support and expertise within the Pacific Northwestern US region, aiming to enhance asset flows and market presence for New York Life Investment's (NYLI) diverse asset management offerings within the RIA and Private Banking sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhancing visibility and understanding of NYLIM/MainStay strategies among Registered Investment Advisors and Private Banking entities across the region, including Wealth Managers and Asset Allocators.
  • Engaging directly with sophisticated independent RIAs (with AUM exceeding $100 million) and Private Banking teams to uncover potential opportunities for collaboration.
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders within RIA and Private Bank firms to identify how NYLI strategies can align with their business models.
  • Spotting new opportunities for product placement and reporting these insights to leadership and national accounts teams.
  • Representing NYLI at industry conferences and events, showcasing our RIA/Private Bank offerings.
  • Staying informed on NYLI investment themes, strategies, and market outlooks, particularly regarding new manager affiliations.
  • Delivering engaging presentations and sharing industry insights to promote our products effectively.
  • Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accountability while ensuring quality service and consistent achievement of objectives.
  • Collaborating with sales team members and RIA/Private Bank counterparts to exchange information and market intelligence.

Qualifications:

We are looking for a high-performing investment sales professional with a strong background in the Long Only or Alternatives sectors. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working with top-tier RIA and Private Banking teams in the region. Potential candidates may include:

  • An institutional or hybrid sales professional with experience across various platforms, financial supermarkets, and family offices, looking to specialize in the RIA/Private Bank sector.
  • A dedicated sales professional focused on RIA or Private Banking, eager to expand their network and build new relationships.

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of fixed income products, including duration, high yield, corporates, and municipals.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CIMA, CFP, CFA, or an MBA.

Compensation: Salary range is $70,000 - $75,000, plus sales incentives.

Employment Status: Exempt from overtime eligibility.

Bonus Eligibility: Sales bonus eligible; discretionary bonus not applicable.
