Job Description

Job Summary:

The Administrative Coordinator I will provide administrative support to department physicians, including faculty with Health System leadership roles. This includes complex coordination of meetings and conferences, tracking and scheduling academic appointments, and monitoring clinic schedules to ensure alignment with faculty templates and calendars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to department physicians, including faculty with Health System leadership roles.
  • Coordinate meetings and conferences, including tracking and scheduling academic appointments.
  • Monitor clinic schedules to ensure alignment with faculty templates and calendars.
  • Perform special projects, including those related to departmental clinical, academic, and research administration.
  • Prioritize and respond to electronic messages from department physicians, other department physicians, and patients via the EPIC/MyChart platform.
  • Oversee timekeeping of bi-weekly staff and manage and approve timecards for department staff.
  • Maintain divisional calendars, including creating in-person and virtual meetings, coordinating the use of conference rooms, and coordinating meetings for physician-to-physician consults.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma and four years of relevant experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.
  • A bachelor's degree and two years of experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform job functions in an upright position.
  • Ability to perform job functions in a seated position.
  • Ability to work indoors.
