Dietitian - Per Diem Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Dietitian with Atlantic Health System, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality resident care is maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical nutrition assessment and documentation for general medical and surgical oncology, bariatric/weight management, and critical care.
- Maintain quality assurance and evaluate compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal guidelines.
- Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, and evaluating the Dietary Department, its programs, and activities.
- Assist dietary staff in the use of departmental policies and procedures.
- Provide written/oral reports to the Administrator or required concerning the operations of the Dietary Department.
- Manage and improve policies, procedures, and programs to assure compliance with regulatory requirements by making oral/written recommendations to the Corporate Dietitian.
- Develop and participate in educational sessions for staff to increase knowledge of staff and improve resident care for the Dietary Department.
- Review appropriate websites, publications, and other educational materials to ensure that the standards of practice are being achieved.
- Monitor food temperature and taste through the use of Test Trays, Meal Evaluations, and review of Food Temperature Logs.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science, or related field.
- Licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Dietetic Technician or Registered Dietician or Dietary Manager Association or as applicable.
- Preferred: Master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, Home Science, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in acute care clinical nutrition or relevant area.
