We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dietitian to join our team at Morristown Medical Center. As a key member of our Healthy Communities Underserved Grant team, you will play a vital role in identifying community nutrition needs and developing strategies to improve the nutritional status of target populations.
Key Responsibilities- Community Needs Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments to identify community nutrition needs and resources, and make recommendations for strategies and programs to improve nutritional status.
- Nutrition Education: Plan and deliver nutrition education programs for various community groups, considering educational level, socioeconomic and cultural factors, and stages of readiness to learn and change behaviors.
- Program Development: Utilize assessment and evaluation techniques to develop and implement effective nutrition programming and delivery, considering cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns.
- Collaboration and Referral: Coordinate and refer clients to other providers and services as needed, maintaining appropriate documentation of services and contacts with clients.
- Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in public health nutrition and specialty areas of practice, attending national, state, and local meetings as necessary.
- Communication: Interpret and disseminate current scientific information via written communications and public speaking, evaluating nutrition education materials for accuracy and effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field
- Licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Dietician
- Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish
