We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietitian to join our team at Morristown Medical Center. As a key member of our Healthy Communities Underserved Grant team, you will play a vital role in identifying community nutrition needs and developing strategies to improve the nutritional status of target populations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct community assessments to identify nutrition needs and develop recommendations for programming and delivery.
- Plan and deliver nutrition education programs for community groups, considering educational level, socioeconomic and cultural factors.
- Utilize assessment and evaluation techniques to consider the varied needs of populations and cultural, religious, and ethnic concerns.
- Coordinate referrals to other providers and services as needed, maintaining accurate documentation of services and contacts.
- Stay up-to-date with trends and developments in public health nutrition and specialty areas of practice through national, state, and local meetings.
- Evaluate nutrition education materials for accuracy and effectiveness, selecting and developing materials as needed.
- Identify opportunities to increase community awareness of public health nutrition services.
- Maintain dietetic registration and continuing education requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or related field.
- Licensed with the State of New Jersey as a Registered Dietitian.
- Preferred: Bilingual English/Spanish.
