Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Risk Management and Compliance Program Assistant to join our team at Community Health Centers of Burlington. This role will provide administrative support to the operations and committees of the organization-wide risk management and compliance program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as an administrative resource to senior leaders, including the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Medical Director of Quality, Risk & Compliance.
  • Promote and oversee occurrence reporting systems, including trending and reporting results, identifying problem-prone areas, and facilitating prevention initiatives.
  • Assist in the investigation of potentially compensable events and document and organize serious occurrences requiring root-cause analysis or failure mode and effects analysis.
  • Support the Patient Relations Committee in receiving and communicating patient grievances and incident reports, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and organizing and tracking completed reports.
  • Assist the HIPAA privacy officer in record keeping and logging of incidents to the Department of Health & Human Services breach portal and internally.
  • Support the Medical Director of QRC and Program Compliance Manager in coordinating efforts to ensure HRSA compliance with credentialing and privileging of licensed independent practitioners, coordinating with relevant parties to ensure accurate and timely completion of required documents, and organizing the annual required Compliance-related training for existing staff.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in business or health care administration preferred or five years of progressively responsible administration support, including experience supporting senior leaders.
  • High energy, highly organized, persistent, and creative individual with strong communication, interpersonal, and systems thinking skills.
  • Experience with standard MS Office required and experience with clinical management software and systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Preferred knowledge of risk information management systems (RIMS).
  • Ability to function effectively, independently, and efficiently in an innovative and dynamic work environment.
