Customer Service Representative

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to join our team at Community Bank System, Inc. (CBSI). As a key member of our retail division, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences to our clients across Upstate New York, Northeastern Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Western Massachusetts.
Responsibilities:- Provide top-notch customer service and support to our clients, ensuring their banking needs are met with a professional and courteous attitude.
- Determine customer needs and provide solutions, explaining and selling products and services as needed.
- Participate in branch prospecting efforts to identify new business opportunities and promote our products and services.
- Assist customers with various requests, such as stop payments, wire transfers, balance discrepancies, loan information, and more.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and operational areas, ensuring seamless communication and resolution of issues.
- Conduct customer transactions with accuracy and prepare daily cash balancing within established guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on all laws and regulations applicable to this position, ensuring ongoing compliance and adherence to policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Internal product knowledge and teller training.
- Accurate and proficient math skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Clear thinking and ability to stay focused.
- Must be able to consistently demonstrate the Company's core values: a strong work ethic, integrity, respect for others, responsibility, transparency, and humility.
- Two (2) years of bank and/or customer service experience normally required.
- All applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Travel is required to surrounding branches as needed.
