Position Title: Senior Acoustic Engineering Specialist

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Acoustic Engineering Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role involves remote work and is a direct hire opportunity.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of $110,000 - $130,000, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive acoustic evaluations and measurements to assess sound characteristics.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance sound quality and minimize noise pollution.
  • Advise other engineering teams on acoustical design factors.
  • Employ acoustic modeling software for simulations and forecasts.
  • Stay informed on the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices.
  • Provide technical insights during meetings and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Create and implement testing protocols to verify acoustic performance.
  • Identify and resolve acoustic challenges related to components and aircraft interiors.
  • Ensure designs comply with customer specifications, quality benchmarks, and regulatory standards.
  • May serve as a functional lead for specific projects.
  • Adhere to budget constraints and project timelines.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Acoustic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in aviation and aircraft interior design is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in acoustics, sound engineering, or noise mitigation.
  • Proficiency in acoustic modeling tools (e.g., COMSOL, ANSYS).
  • Ability to review engineering drawings for fit, form, and function.
  • Capable of mentoring and inspiring a team of engineers.
  • Strong independent and collaborative working skills.
  • Experience in budget and project management.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven capability to foster teamwork and motivate colleagues effectively.
